BEAUTY AS PERSONAL NARRATIVE
Glory Worldwide is a beauty project founded in 2020 by Emi Farai with the goal of exploring the nuacned relationship that exists between masculinity, femininity, and aesthetic culture. Our products are created to help people tell their unique stories.
Emi’s practice centers around understanding systems and uses the body in all its forms --- as a spirit, an inheritance, a chunk of flesh, a thing of beauty, a product and consumer within our system -- to observe and honor what it means to develop true self-sight. Based in Los Angeles, California she is deeply informed by the concept of non-linearity and uses poetry, archival compliations, web-design, and business modeling to explore personal power, victimhood, inheritance, displacement, and world-building.
